Happy day! After nearly two years of major construction all around the Strand Arcade, Westfield has finally opened its doors. The top photos were taken at 9.30 this morning- as you can see, cleaners and builders running around everywhere.

Another great label new to Australia. I have a Bayswater bag I bought in London years ago, and it's still going strong ( I'm reminding myself so I'm not tempted by the Alexa).
I took this photo at 9.32- two minutes after the doors opened. The shop assistants are going to be busy today.
New tiles in Pitt st Mall- no cracks! With a nice metal rainwater grille down the centre.
If you have seen Pitt St Mall over the last year or two, you will understand just how different it looks now. We even have lovely new benches under the trees ( which have survived the turmoil, and are maturing well). I'm not sure what they are, but I know what they aren't- Plane trees, those allergy causing, predictable council favourites of yesteryear.
Whatever they are, they are looking great, and starting to provide much needed shade for the summer.
