My new diamond engagement ring- I'm so happy!

Diamond engagement ring, second incarnation

A couple of months ago I posted these sketches of how I wanted to transform my engagement ring. Today it was finished, and I never want to take it off.  I admit it's a bit O.T.T. but that's completely the look I was going for ;-)

 This is the end result  I envisaged as I was working on it- I'm so happy!
It's actually so big, there's no room for my wedding ring, but that's OK, we're not too literal about these things Ross and I.  

Friday's design inspiration - Fungi in motion

I've been looking at microorganisms(as you do) recently for inspiration, and came across this time lapse footage of fungi growing by Nick Lariontsev.
If you like close up nature described beautifully by a scientist, I recommend the site I found it on http://theartfulamoeba.com/ . Really worth a visit if you love the design inherent in nature ( I promise! OK; not for everyone, but I loved it).
